Lehner's act is the kind of behavior that drives wedges between teammates. It doesn't really inspire togetherness and unity. It divides rooms and causes guys to roll their eyes in disgust. Lehner's mens league routine was wring. He woes his head coach and teammates an apology for putting hi sown hurt feelings ahead of the team goals.

So what does the Eichel spaz from last week do to a team.

Sabres showed up for the 1st 20 and maybe the last 5. Got out played heavily in 2nd. Would have liked a better showing by Eichel. Round one goes to Matthews. Correct me if I'm wron , but Lehner isn't looking good.

Leafs>Sabres? Yes. This it what comes from rebuilding for 15 odd years. Congrats you guys can finally put a watchable team on the ice.

Matthews>Eichel? Nope. Way to early to tell. Also take into account Eichel is playing on a bum ankle.

Your anger is loud. Leafs rebuilding team fory 15 years??? No. You don't understand what a rebuild is. When you sell players for draft picks and bank on the future... that's a rebuild. you're right about the Eichel being hurt. Too early to tell. But Matthews looks better than anything buffalo has had in years. It's ok maybe GM TM will go an obnoxiously announce his next pick as if it makes a diffenrence again. That's always a good show.

No, it's pretty clear that Matthews is better than Eichel on both sides of the puck, in the details of his game and overall potential. Sorry. Ask any fan outside of our two fan bases and they'll tell you the same.

Matthews has also had TWO rookie wingers on his line all season, along with another 6-8 rookies throughout the line up on a nightly basis... What's your excuse there?

Finally a player who actually cares, and he's a villain for it. Maybe he should've just made some emotionless comments about giving 110% and how the opponent has a really good team like every other hockey player. For what a ticket to a game costs, it's kind of nice to know at least one player gives a damn.

You don't yell and glare at your coach and throw a tantrum in front of the cameras and entire arena. It's widely known that Lehner is a hot head and he demonstrated that again tonight. A complete lack of professionalism and maturity on his part.

Any rift between a player and a coach has the potential to disrupt the team and ultimately cause larger problems, and no team needs that.

In the old days, Robin Lehner is traded the next day and if not Bylsma gets fired. Robin Lamer a either sick, injured or whining.

Damn, starting to lose faith in GMTM.....

....Coach stinks, Bogosian stinks. Marcus Foligno has hit his ceiling, unlike his bro Nick, it's not that high. We have a bunch of 3rd line players coming up. Sam Reinhart appears to be a reach at #2 - Draisatl would have been better.

Ristolainen has only 3A in last ten games and only 3 goals all year. Maybe he needs to stop worrying about acting tough out there and worry about scoring and that contract he held out for. Even tonight, he is out there trying to mix it up at the end of the game.....hey Wrister, worry about playing D and scoring!

I don't watch buffalo play much so not sure about Bylsma being good or bad. I know reading alot of Sabre posts fans don't like him and think he should be fired.

Glad you mentioned your GM as thats the guy I put the blame on. Like the Leafs you were rebuilding. I think TM erred in thinking the rebuild was over in buffalo when he went and traded prospects and picks away for established players like ROR, Kane, Bogo etc. Your team don't look much better now then it did before. The Leafs on the other hand are going with the rookies and haven't spent yet on big name guys. We may miss the playoffs but were an exiting team to watch and you can clearly see where the team is headed unlike Buffalo where they seem to still be in a flux.

This defense is becoming unwatchable. Risto and McCabe can't do it alone.

I'm starting to belive Bylsma is the problem. His "defense first" system is stifling the creativity of our young guns. Paralysis by analysis. Instead of following their instincts, they are thinking too much about defensive responsibilities. They seemed to score more under Ted Nolan, who had no actual game plan whatsoever. Very difficult to continue my support of this team. Babcock was the coach Buffalo needed. Toronto has lapped the Sabres in their "rebuild". They deserve the clap. Like the Bills, time for a do-over.
